"I wish I didn't have to clean my room," Zachary Richardson said to Michael, Ryan and Sean. But he went to his room anyway. "If I could be a frog or a flower, I would not have to clean my room. Only kids have to do that."

Then a strange thing happened. A little frog appeared, saying, "My name is Og. I'm a magic frog. You're right, you know, frogs never have to clean their room. Zach, you can be a frog with my help." Then Og said the magic words. "OGGLEDY POGGLEDY."

There he was, Zach the frog, sitting on a lily pad. "Wow! I am a frog!" said Zach. "I'm hungry. What do frogs eat?" "We eat yummy flies," said Og. "Ugh. I think I would rather be something else," he said.

Og thought hard. "Zach, maybe you could be an owl," he said. "Owls are very wise. They get to live in the forest, and they don't have to clean their room." "OGGLEDY POGGLEDY."

Page 7

Suddenly there was a new little owl sitting on a branch. "Of course, owls do have to stay up all night long," said Og. "Zach, you had better take a nap now so you can stay awake tonight."

Page 8

"That doesn't sound like fun," said Zach. "I know what I could be. If I could be a puppy, I would be happy." Og said, "OGGLEDY POGGLEDY" and Zach was changed into a cute puppy.

Page 9

"I like being a puppy," said Zach. "Michael, Ryan and Sean can play with me and I'll never have to clean my room." "Yes, but puppies get bored and chew things up," said Og. "Then they get in trouble."

"Zach, you could try being a sunflower," said Og. "They have lots of other sunflowers to keep them company. They live in the fields and get lots of fresh air." "OGGLEDY POGGLEDY."

Page 11

Zach said, "This is nice, but what do sunflowers do all day?" "Nothing much," said Og. "But they never have to clean their room." But sunflowers can't talk to each other," Zach complained. "I miss talking to Michael, Ryan and Sean."

Page 12

"This is getting harder," thought Og. "I know. Zach, I'll turn you into a dinosaur. Nobody makes dinosaurs clean their rooms. This one is perfect."

Page 13

Another "OGGLEDY POGGLEDY" turned Zach, the sunflower, into a dinosaur. But the poor little dinosaur was all alone. "Oops. I forgot that all the dinosaurs lived a long time ago," said Og. "I guess you are the only one."

Page 14

"Being a dinosaur doesn't work for me," Zach said. "There is no one to play with. I want to go home and just be me again." Og said, "Sure, but you still have to clean your room." "That's fine with me," said Zach.

Page 15

One more "OGGLEDY POGGLEDY" and Zach was in Austin once again. As Zach picked up his toys, he said, "Thanks, Og. I don't mind cleaning my room. I like being me best of all."

Page 16

"Uh-Oh," said Og. "Have to go now. I just got a message that another kid is wishing for something." Zach said, "It's probably somebody with a messy room."

Page 17

"Zach, always remember that it's best to be yourself," said Og. Then Og vanished in a flash.

When Michael, Ryan and Sean came into the room, Zach said, "It's great to be me again! Come on. Let's play in my nice, clean room." A frog in the yard below looked up at the window and winked. Then he hopped away.
